Preserve hunts are great for corporate events, family hunts, and dogs of all ages and steadiness; absolutely perfect for retired bird dogs to relive their glory days.

Public Land
For when you want a little more challenge and a little less scripted experience.
There are a ton of local WMAs and State Forests in Central Virginia where we can hunt for Quail and Woodcock. . . Grouse too, if we want to head to the mountains.
Waterfowl
Guided Trips
I’ll join you in the blind or the swamp to document the full experience. The early mornings, birds on the strap, dogs at work, and the in-between moments. A natural fit for hunters who value the pace, tradition, and feel of the morning as much as the birds themselves.

Private Hunts
If you already have your own boat, blind, or spot dialed in, I’m happy to meet you there. This option is perfect for hunters who want the freedom to work familiar ground with a flexible pace, while still documenting the experience in a natural, unobtrusive way.
Retrieve Drills
For focused dog work or controlled setups, retrieve drills allow us to create intentional images that highlight steadiness, marking, and clean retrieves. A strong option for training days, young dogs, or rounding out the story with specific images.

Artist Session
From the wing to wall. This is a fully custom experience centered on creating meaningful artwork for your home. Whether a beautiful leather album or statement wall art, we begin with the end in mind, designing the final piece first and shaping the session around that vision.
$750 creative fee, includes $500 art credit
Digital Collections
These sessions are a relaxed, digital-first experience focused on capturing meaningful moments outdoors, delivered as a curated set of finished images. Designed for flexibility now, with the option to create artwork later.

Whether we focus entirely on video or weave motion into your photo experience, film allows us to capture the in-between moments. . . the movement, the sounds, the way it all feels.
Full films are ideal for legacy stories. Add-on clips are perfect for bringing your images to life.

Oh, don’t you worry about that one bit, I can handle it.
From GSPs in their first year of training to bouncy Springers their first time in the field, to completely finished Brittanys, I’ve successfully photographed bird dogs in the field at all levels of training.
Your dog does not have to be fully finished to enjoy an hunt portrait session.

There are many locations across Virginia where we can work in the field or on the water, including both public and private land. For clients looking for a more guided or preserve-style experience, I also work with a small number of trusted upland and waterfowl partners.
There are no travel fees for sessions in the Richmond, VA area. I serve Charlottesville & the DMV regularly and am always open to travel anywhere in the US.

If you're in an area where I'm already planning to be, any travel fee will be waived. -
As soon as possible; I only take a limited number of clients per month and tend to book out 5-7 weeks in advance. Fall/Winter is my busiest time, so if you are interested in an upland hunt, reach out as early as possible. You don’t need to pick the actual date to book a session, just the month and we’ll determine the date once we get a little closer to it.
