This is about documenting life as it is. Not staged or forced; just time spent together, photographed with care and intention.
For some, these images are a way to celebrate the chapter they’re in right now. For others, they become a way to honor the legacy of their best friend.
Either way, the goal is the same. . . to create photographs that feel grounded, personal, lasting, and full of love.

From adventure to art. This is a fully custom experience centered on creating meaningful artwork for your home. We begin with the end in mind, designing the final piece first and shaping the session around that vision.

These sessions are a relaxed, digital-first experience focused on capturing life with your dog outdoors, delivered as a curated set of finished images. Designed for flexibility now, with the option to create artwork later.
All-inclusive sessions from $750
Soul Dog Stories
Whether we focus entirely on video or weave motion into your photo experience, film allows us to capture the in-between moments. . . the movement, the sounds, the way it all feels.
Full films are ideal for legacy stories. Add-on clips are perfect for bringing your images to life.

Just like there's multiple sizes of dogs, there's a variety of adventures to be had.
Maybe you're extra outdoorsy and want to paddle the Roanoke River.
Maybe you want to hike the Buttermilk Trail, stopping to taking a dip in the river.
And just maybe your pup's idea of an adventure is hanging out in your own backyard, playing fetch til they pass out.
Wherever you and your pup find yourselves in nature, we can make sure to give your put their perfect day. -
Not to worry! In fact, the majority of the dogs I photograph stay on leash. The only time they should be off-leash is when we’re working in a securely fenced-in or private area. (Or if you are 100% confident in your pet’s recall ability in any situation.)
Staying on a leash can also help super wiggly pups stay in place for the shot.
Don’t worry though, all leashes will be meticulously removed from any final portrait.
If your pet normally wears a harness, prong, or e-collar, please bring a flat collar they can wear for the session.

While I have my favorite go-to spots in the Richmond area, we’ll discuss locations during our planning consultation.If there’s a spot special to you, whether a trail by the river or in your own backyard, I find having your session there often produces wonderful, familiar, sentimental portraits.
Destination:
There are no travel fees for sessions in the Richmond, VA area.I serve Charlottesville & the DMV regularly and am always open to travel anywhere in the US.

If you're in an area where I'm already planning to be, any travel fee will be waived. -
As soon as possible; I only take a limited number of clients per month and tend to book out 5-7 weeks in advance. Fall/Winter is my busiest time, so reach out as early as possible.
You don’t need to pick an actual date to book a session, just the month and we’ll determine the date once we get a little closer to it.
If your pup is nearing the end of their journey: There's no way around saying this - this part just freaking sucks. Having been in this situation many times, I know how heartbreaking it is and how quickly it can happen.
Please let me know when we chat. as I leave flexibility in my schedule for these sessions. I’ll do everything I can to adjust and squeeze your family in as soon as possible. -
